Fudgy Black Bean Brownies



1 tin black beans (400g)

1/3 cup cacao powder

1 tsp baking powder

½ cup honey

2/3 cup peanut butter

¼ cup olive oil

1 cup roughly chopped dark choc





  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan forced) and line a square baking tray with baking paper
  2. Pop black beans, peanut butter, honey, cacao powder, baking powder and olive oil in high speed blender or food processor (TIP: if ingredients aren’t blending well – try adding a small amount of water)
  3. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate through the blended ingredients
  4. Pop the mixture into the prepared baking tray and press the mixture down (TIP: wetting a spatula is great for this)
  5. Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean from the middle when poked
